Creative Industries Federation in Cardiff
18 May 2016
Below are details of the Creative Industry Federation event at Cardiff School of Art and Design on May 25th.
TAC encourages members to attend and give their views on the needs of creative industries in Wales.
———————————————————————————-
Creative Industries Federation, the national membership body for the UK’s arts, creative industries and cultural education, will be in Cardiff this month when we will be debating whether a cultural strategy is crucial to regional economic success.
The Federation will bring together a panel of expert speakers as we debate the landscape for arts and the creative industries in Wales in the wake today’s elections. As the Federation’s first major event in Wales, this will be open to prospective members from across the arts, creative industries and cultural education as well as members.
Join us for an evening of topical discussion and the opportunity to share your concerns and passions. After the event, which is supported by Barclays, attendees will have the opportunity to view Cardiff School of Art & Design’s 2016 Degree show and to meet and mingle over drinks. The show will also be open beforehand.
Speakers include:
Phil George, Chair, Arts Council Wales
Carole-Anne Davies, Chief Executive, Design Commission for Wales
John Rostron, Independent Creative Producer and Founder of the Sŵn Festival
Professor Olwen Moseley, Dean of Cardiff School of Art and Design
Barclays Media Team – Financing Options Workshop
Prior to the main event, Barclays Media Team will be running a short workshop on financing options. Having supported the media sector for 30 years, they have dedicated Relationship Directors, who understand your business, covering all media subsectors including advertising, publishing, music, TV, broadcast and film.
Attendees are invited to join and discuss how Barclays can support your financing needs – structures to be discussed include Cashflow Lending, TV / Film Production and High Growth (Venture) Debt.
