TAC appoints Sioned Haf Roberts and Sioned Harries

TAC is pleased to announce tthe appointment of a General Manager and an Administrative Officer to form a new team to carry out the organisation’s range of activities.

Sioned Haf Roberts

Sioned Haf Roberts, the General Manager, is originally from Porthmadog, and was previously a senior adviser to Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas for a number of years, including when Lord Elis-Thomas was Deputy Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism. Sioned Harries, the Administrative Officer, comes from Carmarthenshire and currently works for a housing agency under the auspices of Cardiff Council.

Gareth Williams, TAC Chair, said: “On behalf of TAC Council, I am delighted to welcome the new staff members. Sioned Haf Roberts’ breadth of experience in the policy field and her political networks will be a great asset to TAC’s work of ensuring that the interests of the sector are represented at all levels in the context of the work the producers make for S4C as well as other public service and commercial broadcasters.

“Sioned Harries brings exceptional communications and organisational skills to her work in sourcing and arranging training courses, supporting TAC members and assisting Sioned Haf in her role. TAC is very grateful to Luned Whelan for her outstanding work as Executive Manager over the past four years, and we’re delighted that Luned will stay with us part-time to support the new team as she also moves into a job in children’s publishing.ˮ

 

 

Sioned Haf Roberts will be starting her work before the end of July, and Sioned Harries will join her in early August.
