TAC Chair Statement on Ukraine

7 March 2022

We are all saddened by the crisis situation in Ukraine, and TAC is sending our unambiguous support to the people of Ukraine in the face of this atrocity and humanitarian crisis.

Our Council members are in unanimous agreement that TAC fully support S4C’s stance on the situation:

S4C statement:

“In the wake of the attack on Ukraine, and the international sanctions that have been imposed on Russia, S4C is breaking all ties with Russia.

“The channel has asked all companies that sell and license programmes on its behalf to stop any further dealings. S4C is also investigating investments by S4C Masnachol (the commercial arm of the channel) to ensure that there is no connection with Russia. In addition the channel encourages all companies that provide it with content to stop any further contact or involvement with Russia.”

I am appealing for your support to ensure that all contacts with Russia are broken and to prevent any further business within our industry. If you need any advice or guidance, please contact TAC.
