Policy

TAC’s policy work includes engaging with those who make decisions affecting our industry and the broader broadcasting and production ecology.

TAC continues to engage regularly with:

  • The Welsh Assembly Government on a range of issues
  • The Welsh Assembly’s Culture, Welsh Language and Communications Committee
  • The UK Government – Wales Office and the UK Government Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) – on matters including the Welsh creative sector, the review of S4C and the DCMS response, and the Contestable Fund
  • Representatives of all political parties, to discuss the Welsh TV production sector and its cultural and economic importance
  • Parliamentary Committee inquiries, including the Welsh Government Committee inquiries on broadcasting in Wales and DCMS Committees
  • Ofcom and others to discuss broadcast regulation, public service broadcasting and related matters
  • The BBC executive and S4C to discuss policy matters

You can read our recent submissions to consultations and Committee inquiries below.

If you wish to discuss any aspect of TAC’s current policy, please e-mail Tim Wilson, Media and Policy Advisor, or call 07909 560374.
