The Welsh Broadcasting Trust give financial support to individuals who want to expand their skills in TV, film, radio and new media. They can also provide assistance to organisations that promote skills development and educational resources for the benefit of the media sector. The S4C TAC training partnership was established in 2019 to develop skills in the sector and ensure productions meet the required standards.

The training programme focuses on 4 main areas:

S4C’s Strategy Priorities as a commissioner and broadcaster

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion – various sessions

Wider production and skills training – various sessions

Industry-specific training and guidance including:

  • The NSPCC Introduction to Safeguarding Children in the Media training in line with the S4C Child Protection Policy
  • Risk Management Training to comply with legislative requirements
  • Quarterly workshops and drop-in sessions in 2023 with the PRS on music clearance
  • BAFTA albert Training
