Are you a production company that wants to start working internationally and don’t know quite where to start? Or do you have some experience working internationally and want to know more about what your next steps should be?

TAC, in conjunction with the UK Government Department for Business and Trade and S4C have organised a learning session that will give you:

• A starting point and confidence to explore international opportunities
• Pointers on how you can access wider international support services to assess if you are export ready
• Learn from case study examples of companies who have taken the first step to going global.

About the event

09:45 – 10:15 – Tea and coffee

10:15 – 10:30 – Welcome from Dyfrig Davies, TAC Chair and a presentation on S4C’s international strategy provided by Llinos Griffin-Williams, Chief Content Officer.

10:30 – 11:30 –  BFI and Funding Opportunities. The UK Global Screen Fund, administered by the BFI, is designed to boost international opportunities for the UK’s independent screen sector across film, TV, animation, and games. Meet the team, joined by Cardiff-based ieie Productions who have been supported by the fund’s International Business Development strand, and hear more about what’s on offer to Welsh companies through this UK-wide resource.

11:45 – 12:45 –  ‘Going Global’ panel discussion which will cover a whole host of topics related to working internationally including: the role of distribution, case studies, lessons learnt, advice and the next steps after achieving success. There will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions.

13:00 – 14:00 – You will then be invited to stay on for lunch, as well as further networking opportunities with the morning’s speakers and attendees and there will also be an opportunity to talk to representatives from the UK Government Department for Business and Trade .

The event promises to be an exciting and informative day for independent Welsh companies and we are looking forward to welcoming all TAC members to join us.

14:00 – 19:00 – *Media Cymru USW: Culture Change Conference. Please note this is a separate event to the event organised by TAC, UK Government Department for Business and Trade and S4C, however you are welcome to stay and attend this conference too.
